VBS Information for Parents and Children What is VBS? Vacation Bible School is our summertime ministry for children.  Every child aged 4-10 is welcome to participate in this week-long Bible-centered adventure.  Through Bible plays, music, crafts, games, and movies, we will learn Scriptural truths as well as what it means to follow Jesus.  It is about sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ in age-appropriate and fun ways! When is VBS this year? Vacation Bible School is Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25.  The program runs from 9:00AM to 12:00PM each day.  For those children that are interested, there is a free breakfast provided at 8:45 and a free lunch provided at 12:00. What is the cost?                                       There is no cost -- VBS is free! What is the theme?  What can my child expect? The theme is Power Lab: Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power.  It's a fun, science-based program in which we learn that Jesus gives us the power to be thankful, help others, be brave, live forever, and tell others about God. Your child will be part of a "Lab Crew" of 4-6 children that will spend the whole week at VBS together.  One or two Crew Leaders will closely shepherd your child's crew through each day, guide them through each of the activities, and share their love for Jesus. How do I register my child? There are four easy ways to register.  If you do so before our pre-registration deadline of Friday, July 11, you'll receive a postcard that allows your child to bypass the registration lines on the first day. We welcome anyone who will be age 4-10 during the time of VBS week.  If your child will be 11 or older and would still like to be part of the fun, please contact Dave Mazur (526-9922 or ddmazur@verizon.net) to see about opportunities for involvement. 1. On-line pre-registration.  COMING SOON!  Click here to go to our Church's on-line registration page at the Group VBS website.  Click on "Participant Registration" on the left side.  NOTE: It asks for parent/guardian information first, and then allows you to add one or more children without re-typing the parent/guardian information. 2. In-person registration.  COMING SOON!  Stop by the Church office and fill out a form. 4. Walk-up registration during VBS week.  Register your child on the first or even the second day of VBS.  Arrive by 8:30 as the line can be long.  If possible, use pre-registration. When can I buy the music? The 10-song CD/tape for this year will be available during VBS week as well as at the Church in June and July.  We sell these as a fund raiser for a suggested donation of $10 for the CD and $8 for the tape.
