Membership at ECC      Membership in this church is open to anyone who through faith in God's Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, has been born anew to a living hope; has been baptized according to the Holy Scriptures; desires to live a Christian life; and promises to support the total ministry of this church and to share its fellowship and obligations. To be received into membership, you must: Attend new member classes Be visited by a team of two deacons Appear before the Deacon Board to give a confession of your Christian faith Note: Membership is transferable inter-denominationally only; i.e. from one Evangelical Covenant Church to another.  Duties of members: Seek to live a Christlike life in your daily conduct Support the church through attendance, prayer, financial contribution Exercise your voting privileges Use your spiritual gifts for service Further the cause of Christ in the local congregation Support the ministries of the Evangelical Church of America and the East Coast Conference
